Edible Nanoscape: Food in the Scanning Electron Microscope

When magnified up to 6500 times, the samples pictured in this exhibit are transformed into interesting photographic subjects that also provide scientific information about the structure and components of everyday foodstuffs. This collection of images was Geoffrey Williams' first to be conceived around an edible notion. According to the artist, "the individual subjects were not devised as a menu, but more an investigation into the interesting shapes and textures that can be found in most any kitchen."
